Yalta conference marked the end of the Second World War. This was a significant conference since this this is the only time Roosevelt, Stalin and Churchill met together.

Hitler ordered the loyal SS to kill the storm troopers.
Annalese Kohlmann was cycled to Bergen-Belsen in April 1945 where she served as an SS prison guard. When being overran by the Allies became a inevitability, Kohlmann exchanged her SS uniform for that of the prisoners on the 15th. She hid among the masses successfully for two days until she was finally identified by liberated prisoners.
In June 1946 at the 2nd Belsen Trial held at Celle and Lüneburg, during her trial she was painted as being “particularly cruel” to those she was assigned to guard. In the end, Kohlmann was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment but was released in June 1946 because of pretrial confinement. She died in West Berlin in September 1977.

The treaty of versaliies was being signed at that day. It marked the end of First world war and peace. On the other hand, as Germany need to pay the reparations, it marked the beginning of a decade of prosperity and econonic hardship, as well as dispair.
In 1962 an East German border guard tosses a ball back over the Berlin Wall after a West German child mistaken threw it over.
